P2P Collaboration Platform

The Yuvia collaboration platform is a software approach to KM on the principle of distributed constructionism with attention to creativity. Fundamentally conventional groupware, the VKN is a Peer-2Peer (P2P) based Visual Tool.

Every Yuvia user becomes part of a P2P network as a peer. Within this P2P network, users may do both, create new collaborative workspaces and join existing workspaces. Collaborative workspaces allow participants to exchange and share thoughts and files on the specified topic, in a graphical way.

You are invited to try out the prototype. However, keep in mind that it is a very early version and does not offer all the functionallity of the concept yet. For more information view this presentation. Questions and feedback are most welcome.

Starting the Application
Start the application by clicking here. Wait until the application is loaded and a dialogue opens, then follow these steps:

1. Choose a peer name, enter it, and press OK.

2. Press "load relay peers" and mark the check box "use relay" at the bottom of the window, then press OK.

Now you are ready to start using Yuvia.
Using Yuvia

To add a Node, click on the surface, name it, and press Enter. You can change the location of a Node by dragging it to another place and dropping it. However, note that you cannot remove a Node anymore, once it has been added.

To connect 2 Nodes, first click on one of the Nodes you want to connect, then click on the other node with the right mouse button.

To attach a file, click with the right mouse button and choose a file. In this way, you can also download attached files.
